Formula Drift Asia Permanent Pro License – I now officially hold one!
To compete in Formula Drift Asia’s Singapore Round without first competing in front of their officials at other events, you need to apply for a provisional license. You need to supply a number of different forms of proof that you can compete at this sort of level of competition, including videos and results and so on. I passed that test and was able to compete. But to then attain a permanent Formula Drift Asia Pro License, the officials at that event will take note of your performance and then decide if you deserve one at a later date.
And this morning, I received this email from the director of Formula Drift Asia:
Hi Josh,
You will be pleased to know that you have earned yourself a Formula Drift Asia Pro License for 2011.
We look forward to seeing you at the rest of the legs.
Congratulations!
Kind Regards,
Jeremy Soh
Competition Director
I am super excited to have earned an official Formula Drift Pro License, and I am now officially able to compete in the rest of the Formula Drift Asia 2011 series! I owe a big thank you to GT Radial Tires again for their support and for giving me the opportunity to compete and earn this license. I will have news about my participation the upcoming rounds soon!
